River Tame
We thought this may be good place to film as it shows the picturesque countryside of Tamworth. In addition, it shows examples of countryside that will be destroyed by the HS2 project.
Tamworth Castle
We thought that Tamworth Castle is a local landmark and could be used to establish the local surroundings when talking about the HS2 will affect Tamworth.
Tamworth Train station
The train station is an obvious place to film as it shows the current infrastructure in place. We could talk about how much faster HS2 will be in when it is finally constructed. Most of the shots will be filmed here as the documentary is about HS2 and since HS2 has not been built, we need to use the trains that are still running to represent the HS2 to our audience. As well as getting shots of trains, we will get close up shots of the train station timetables, long shots of people getting on trains and more. Some shots will be handheld to give a sense of realism, other shots will be filmed using a tripod to get more focused shots and we'll try use some pans.
Ventura Retail Park
Our local retail park was easy way to show the current congestion in major towns. We could talk about how investment in our railways will relieve congestion. Furthermore, we could use shots of Ventura when establishing Tamworth as it is a big part of the town.
Town Centre
We could use shots of the town centre when establishing Tamworth as it is a big part of the town. Furthermore, we could use shots of the town before our voxpops to give them more context.
Bus Station
We could film at the bus station to show other forms of transportation.
Library
We could film near the library as it is a very picturesque part of town and its local inhabitants are squirrels. This could serve as a reminder that a lot of habitats will be destroyed by HS2.
